Got an idea for the compo, a samplepack, VST, or theme? Post it here!

Christmas!!!

Any samples? So we're allowed to use guitars and stuff just like last year?

I've got several ideas brewing... the same ideas, in fact, that I had last year, but never accomplished due to running out of time. :D

RE: Comment about Jewell from last year

Not that I hold Jewell in any esteem, but I recall there was a Roxette song that was a Christmas tune to the rest of the world, but had its words stripped and turned into a normal power ballad for the North American audience...

Round 34 Christmas / Winter Round!

Yes, Renoise 2.0 entries are allowed!
(Renoise 2.0 RC1 is likely to be released before the end of Round 34)

This is good news :--)))))))))))))))))))))))))

I'm happy with the Christmas Theme.

Can we optional allow to put the rendered and the vst song into one Zip file ?

I ask, because rendering is always a loss of information. If at any time you wan't to remix the notes are gone. So to upload a version which can be easily opened and to add a more detailed version for the interested wouldn't that be a good thing ?

Glad you like the Christmas theme!
For remixing purposes I would include a link to the VST or a VST version of the song in your song notes. You can keep a copy using VSTs to offer anyone interested in remixing. For the purposes of the compo it's most accessible to everyone to use samples.

Actually, I think it was:

It's a hard Christmas day, I dream away
It must have been love, but it's over now...

Looks like it's at 2:03

OK so it wasn't entirely a christmas song, they just cut the xmas reference for North american audience? How wonderfully politically correct
