First time doing this so just wanted to clear up a couple of things
    1. The competition clock on http://www.sdcompo.com/ is this the closing time for submissions ? (or does it include the Voting Week?)
    2. How do you get your 'Identify yourself inside your submitted RNS file' (Rule 7) is this a case of hacking the song.xml file ?

Thanks
Paul

No problem!

Welcome to the compo, Paul

The clock counts down to the tracking submission deadline. Voting will take place during the week after that.

You don't have to do any hacking, in Renoise, just go to the "View" menu, and select "Show song comments". Then you can type your name, song title, and any notes about your song if you want.

Happy tracking :D

Thanks for the info. Just need to find a vocal track to fit in with some ideas I have done already.

Since XRNS files are already in zip format all I have to do is change the file extension before uploading it ???

No, you can't do that. If you try to unrar/zip it, it will just extract the song.xml which will not load in Renoise by itself. Plus, Rarring it will still take the size down more.

Just zip or RAR, simple enough right :D

Welcome to the compo DrumAliens!

You can upload .xrns files directly to the form since they are already compressed. I'll have to change the verbiage to make that more clear.

I noticed that downloading .xrns file in Safari/OSX works quite oddly :)
I click the link, it downloads it and then uncompresses it (and deletes the .xrns file) :D
So basically what i got is XML and sample data inside a folder.

Found a workaround for this tho, i use VerfiedDownloadApp found
in a system folder :P
(in case someone else here is using mac)
