What did you primarily use before renoise?

IT vs. FT

Postby fbjon » Fri Jun 16, 2006 4:28 am

I never could get used to the IT/s3m way of doing things, I liked having less screens to flip back and forth from like in FT2. But then again, I started with ProTracker (1.3?) on the Amiga, so I have some heritage slowing me down :)

In fact, I've only really used trackers with an interface that descends from Protracker, though I've tried most. I guess starting out when you're 10 years old kind of makes things like that stick in your brain, since I don't have much problems with other software.

Well, except the Gimp (vs. Photoshop). But then, I'm not the only one :)

Argh. I hate the gimp interface. It totally blows, compared to photoshop.

Tracking software - DS!

Postby zinc » Tue Nov 14, 2006 4:38 pm

Yep, I used to use IT all the time, although I started in ST3. Since I switched to a Mac, there aren't as many options (and no Buzz :( ) But Renoise seems pretty good.

Anyways, I got a Nintendo DS lite, and I noticed a homebrew tracker made for the DS. I'm curious if anyone here has tried it.
