Beatport periodically hosts remix contests. Right now they're hosting a contest to remix Moby's "Go".

I know, but when i try to download the samplepack, the only thing that loads is information that I need flash layer 8, and I have 7. I could ofcourse upgrade to 8, but don't know how do it in linux firefox(the automatic install fails), and I don't have the nerves to flay with manual installation, beside i don't know when it ends.

January 27th, I think. I'm hard at work on a dnb version. Keep in mind they are biased towards the dance market, so an obscure glitchy style or something else more suited to the bedroom probably will not take the prize.

There is no direct link to the sample pack. They make you buy it.

Oh yeah. It contains the bass and a piano part, I believe. I got the full pack, because what I really wanted was the "go" sample.

I ended up using quite a few of the original sounds.. but in very different ways than the original. =)

So the free version is useless, and provides only hunger for the full $ version!!

Beatport is mostly geared toward the dj market. When was the last time they had a glitch night at the local club?
