ahhhh..... a new chilled out tune from Ms Steel.

definitely has your signature style to it: the instrument selection, ambience, key change, et all. the chord progression has some transitions that are largely similar to two of your more recent songs: Nightingale and Dreamer

i feel that this song loses focus, particularly in the second half... i think you could have done a lot more with the melodies instead of just repeating them.
still, it is a pleasant and relaxing journey. the mixing is dead on and the percussion sounds great.

i always like listening to your music, but i feel like you could definitely use to think outside your musical box (as many of us could, *cough cough*, sonicade, rob, mick, and myself included)

also i noticed that you encoded it at 192k mp3. is there any chance that you could encode a higher than 128k bitrate version of Souru? :D

Thanks dj io :) Yes Sonicade said a similar thing re the contrast, I always seem to struggle with contrast so I will definately work on that.

Thank you particularly for your comments on the mixing! I'm glad to know the mix sounds good on a computer other than mine, sometimes it's hard to tell.

I can encode a higher bitrate version of Souru for you, for sure, but I don't know that it will sound much better since the sample quality is old and kinda dodgy ;) I'll do that and post a link here for you.

Here's a 320 kb version of Souru, just under 10 MB to download - http://www.harmonysteel.com/misc/souru.mp3

Grabbed this as well, wow great track! I can see why Dj_io wanted a 320k version. Nice one Harmony. :)

Thanks Sonicade :) I'm glad you like it! Souru has always been one of my favourites. Someone once said it reminded them of the ocean.
