song comment visibility (rss feed? or forum sync?)

Postby tenfour » Sun Mar 15, 2009 6:23 pm

i find myself clicking through each and every song in the results page to see new comments.

it would be great if there was an RSS feed for song comments. Or a page of "25 recent song comments"?

Or synchronize the forum with song entries somehow? Maybe even simply use the forum for comments?

RSS would be awesome for them!

It could be like this;

Comment on: Tenfour's song
Comment by: organic io

blablalbalblalbal

end

I'll definitely have to make sure Sonicade sees this thread when he gets back.

Great idea dudes. Guess what, I was laid off from my job! This is how I'm able to take time to travel. In addition, I plan to dedicate some serious time to SDCompo development when I get back to the US.

I will definitely be checking this forum when looking at ideas to include so keep the posts coming. This is a good one!

Is to be "laid off" now a good or a actually bad thing ?

+1 for the RSS. Shouldn't be technically too difficult (?)

I thought exactly about this during the last round.
Had the same problem as tenfour

I've heard a lot of people using the "in-between jobs" status as a reason to travel; add to it that one of Battle of the Bits' developers typically cites being between jobs as the reason he's had time to do so much updating and recoding.

There's a saying about "when life hands you lemons..."

I haven't had the fortune of being laid off; you see, the other thing that happens during recessions is that large companies seize the opportunity to sprawl and growl their market shares. My company has been adding work since whispers of the recession began. I consider myself incredibly lucky in this regard.

Best wishes and good luck to everyone.
