Multiple song submissions - overwriting previous submission

Multiple song submissions - overwriting previous submission

Postby knetter » Wed Jul 15, 2009 12:54 pm

Hi,

What about an improvement to the song submission method? It came to my mind when I was thinking about adding an extra cool part in my sdc#40 song. Unfortunately I'd already submitted it - although days before deadline. Since the rule is that sdc participants can only upload one single song per round, I was thinking about accepting multiple submissions where only the last submitted song counts as song entry. So before deadline ends, you can re-submit an indefinite (theoretically :p) amount of songs, overwriting the previous submitted one. At deadline time, the last submitted one is taken as official entry.

What do you think?

I think you can already do that, only up to a maximum of 3 times.

Am I wrong?

Yeah, I've done it a time or two before. It shouldn't mess anything up, and it should use the most recently submitted one. If somethings screwed, I'm sure Sonicade can bail you out if you let him know. :)

Organic IO is correct, you can resubmit 3 times after your original submission. We'll always use the most recent submission since the older ones get renamed.

I think I've done it once or twice involuntarily when my upload didn't work.
