Did you used "(", ")","<",">","?" in the name, or any other non standard characters?
Try entering something other than "@#$%^&*(*&^%$#".
Just change the name of the zip/rar, the rns/xrns can be same.

If you are familiar with regular expressions, this is the current regex for entry filenames.

^[a-zA-Z0-9\_\(\)\-]+[.a-zA-Z0-9\_\(\)\-]*\.(rar|zip|gz|bz)$

I know many people have been having trouble with this so I will be working to correct this well before the round 14 deadline.

Sorry about that, I have relaxed the restrictions on filenames. Spaces will not be a problem but will be converted to _.

while you're there... you should add .xrns

it is a zip file after all...

Will do, I kind of jiffy fixed it for now. I'll tweak it a bit more and add .xrns as well.

i think if the error message said specifically what characters arent acceptable would be a good idea also, something like

"please submit your rar, gz, zip, tar, xrns +name file with numbers letters and underscores only"

Added .xrns and changed the error message a bit.
